The development of a "Public Toilet Bangladesh" app to assist users in finding the closest facilities, training for toilet caretakers, and awareness campaigns all served to bolster WaterAid's efforts. WaterAid collaborated with local authorities through persistent policy advocacy, which led to agreements with the concerned city authorities and subsequent construction of public toilets in Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, and Khulna. To
guarantee efficient daily management, WaterAid also tested a few operational models and proposed the idea of introducing Public Toilet Management Committee (PTMC) for overseeing responsibility.
